A Young Carer is...
A young carer is a young person aged between 6-18 who cares for a family member such as their mum, dad, brother, sister or grandparents who suffer with:
- a physical disability
- a learning disability
- terminal illness
- mental health
- substance and alcohol misuse.
Carerstrust4all offers a range of support to young carers and gives them a safe space to have fun, make friends and have 1:1 support.
The core aim of support is to provide respite from their caring role. This respite is offered in a group setting, mixing with other young carers from their local area.
