COVID-19 - temporary changes to our services

During the current COVID-19 pandemic our Children, Young people and families services will be running from the following bases:

Starting Well Children’s centres will be operating across the following two bases: 

  • Stanlaw Abbey (Ellesmere Port) - 0151 488 8036
  • Victoria Road (Northwich) - 01606 555286

 

Cheshire Child and Adult Mental Health Services will be operating across the following bases:

  • Mill Street, Crewe - 01270 253841
  • Elm House, Macclesfield - 01625 712043
  • Marsden House, Chester - 01244 393200

 

Wirral Child and Adult Mental Health Services will be operating across the following base:

  • Birch Centre – 0300 303 3157

 

In line with national guidance and to ensure appropriate social distancing to we have cancelled all non-urgent face to face clinics and groups. We are still continuing to support young people and families through a variety of ways including telephone, online support and face to face as required.  We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this period. Please do not hesitate to contact your service with any queries in relation to what this means for your care.

Starting Well Service:

Please call the Duty Desk numbers below before attending any Starting Well Children's Centre.

Children's Centre Duty Numbers:

Available Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
The Duty Line will be closed on Monday 25th May (Bank Holiday)

The Starting Well Service are not currenly selling vitamin drops for mother or baby. These can be purchased at your local pharmacy. 

To help increase social distancing the Starting Well Service have temporarily cancelled; Let's Play Sessions, Play Days Specials, Baby Massage Sessions, Childminder Drop-ins and School Readiness Drop-in Events.

Breastfeeding Support Groups will not open but staff will be available for telephone contact, using the Duty Desk numbers above.

Open Advice Clinics will not open. Please call Duty Desk for advice and support. You may be invited to a Children’s Centre to weigh baby or to meet with a health professional if required.

Children's Centre timetables have been temporarily removed from the website.
