COVID-19 - temporary changes to our services
All Starting Well Children’s Centres are open via appointment only contacts. You are able to contact the service and speak to someone directly by calling any of our Duty Teams.

We are offering the majority of our services; some in a different format due to Covid 19 restrictions.
We are delivering face to face contacts, including home visits along with Children’s Centre appointments for Open Advice Clinics.
We are offering virtual contacts via video or telephone and are running some small groups as guidelines allow.
The Starting Well website offers advice and support that we are adding to regularly. Please take a look to see if there is useful information for you.
You will find play ideas and videos to support parents caring for young children, especially during these challenging times.
The website offers additional advise and support in relation to mental health, both for parents and also children and young people.
Our Nurses are available to provide advice and support for all ages of children and especially our High School aged young people in relation to their emotional health and wellbeing.

Early Years Workers are available through duty to support you with play activities whilst at home and have created 5 videos to support early play and development. Please visit www.startingwell.org.uk/activitiesathome
If you interested in trying something new, the Starting Well Service provide a toy lending library with bags containing a variety of play items. Due to COVID-19 all bags are quarentined and cleaned between each use.
To access our toy libary please contact your local duty team and ask to speak to an Early Years Worker.

When attending any Children's Centre appointment
- Visitors and their households must be free from COVID-19 symptoms.
- Entrances are locked, please ring the bell and wait for assistance.
- You will be asked to wear a face cover and sanitise your hands.
- Staff will be wearing personal protective equiptment (PPE).
- QR Codes are available for you to scan using NHS track and trace app.
